The Rules

1. Basic Principles

  • 1.1 Have common sense
  • 1.2 Treat others with respect (kinda)
  • 1.3 No Cheating
  • 1.4 No Griefing
  • 1.5 No useless Spamming
  • 1.6 No Stealing (random chests in the wild don't apply)
  • 1.7 No Bug abuse (Mojang intended bugs are allowed -> tnt duping, etc)
  • 1.8 One account per Player (unless admins allow it)
  • 1.9 Mild trolling is welcome

2. Behaviour in the World

  • 2.1 Building private buildings on the world spawn (200 block radius) is not allowed. The world spawn will be used for community/shared buildings
  • 2.2 Players that are not interested in working/playing together should build their homes with reasonable distance from one another
  • 2.3 Trees do not need to be replanted, but they do have to be completely chopped down
  • 2.4 Farms that obviously belong to a player need to be replanted
  • 2.5 Animals that obviously belong to a player are not to be killed without the players permission
  • 2.6 Hostile mobs that were summoned/brought by a player are to be killed by that player as fast as possible. Any damage done by those mobs to other players belongings need to be fixed/replaced by the player that summoned the mob.

3. Farms/Redstone Contraptions

  • 3.1 All Farms/Redstone contraptions are allowed as long as they're not explicitly disallowed by the following rules
  • 3.2 Farms/Redstone contraptions that lead to severe lag or destroy the game experience of other players are forbidden. This includes chunk banners and lag machines.
  • 3.3 Farms/Redstone contraptions that need a lot of performance and/or are used for special items should (if possible) be built for/with the community
  • 3.4 AFK Farms/Redstone contraptions are allowed, as long as rules 1.8 and 3.1 are not broken

4. Building Rules

  • 4.1 All buildings should either serve the purpose of beautifying the landscape or another important functionality
  • 4.2 There is no maximum build height or a limitation to the size of a buildings, as long as rule 4.1 is not broken.
  • 4.3 Unfinished buildings that have not been continued for a long time (and/or are ugly) will be removed after a warning.

5. The End

The first time entering the End and the first fight against the Ender Dragon is going to be a planned community event. This will most likely happen within the first week of the server launch. The set time will be decided by a vote, so we can have the most people participate (probably a weekend). Finding the stronghold is allowed of course.

  • 5.1 Entering the end before the community event is not allowed
  • 5.2 Respawning the Ender Dragon after buildings were built on the main island is not allowed, as to not destroy these buildings. The dragon should be defeated by anyone who wants to defeat it and all the end gateways should be spawned before buildings are built on the isalnd.
  • 5.3 The dragon egg is to be seen as a community item and shall not be taken without consulting the other members of the event.

6. PVP

PVP is allowed as long as it doesn't break any of the following rules

  • 6.1 We are civilized people, so act like it
  • 6.2 Do not kill people without reason (wanting to steal resources by killing someone who was mining is not a reason)
  • 6.3 Do not kill players that are afk-farming
  • 6.4 Villages/Homes are safe areas until specified otherwise (running into a safe area while fighting does not cancel that fight)
  • 6.5 Rules of war (see section 7.2) may modify these rules in any way

7. Server Modifications

Other than performance enhancing plugins, there are currently no notable vanilla experience altering plugins. If any experience changing plugins are installed in the future, you will be informed in some way.

Current plugins/gamerules: list will be added at launch

8. Client Modifications

All Client modifications are generally forbidden. The only exceptions are the following: * 8.1 Resource packs that do not give you an advantage over other players (e.g. X-Ray resource pack would give you an advantage) * 8.2 Performance enhancing mods (Optifine, Sodium, ...) * 8.3 Schematic mods (Schematica, Litematica, ...) * 8.3.1 Self building functions of those mods and others are not allowed

9. Faction System

People can join together to create factions. This will be done via the minecraft teams feature.

9.1 General System

  • 9.1.1 Everyone can create a Faction and everyone can join Factions out of their own free will. Faction members can use the /teammsg command to chat within the team. For further information on how to create and join Factions please look at the information below.
  • 9.1.2 Factions can send a representative to the "council" (who this representative is has to be reported to the admins beforehand)
  • 9.1.3 The council is used to discuss topics and solve issues that may arise in the world
  • 9.1.4 Every faction has the right to call for a "council meeting" if there is something to discuss
  • 9.1.5 Conflict between Factions should preferably be solved by the involved Factions.

To create a Faction you will need the following things: * at least two members total * a unique team name (this is not the name that is shown in chat) * the team name you want to show in chat * a designated leader of the team (this person can invite new members to the team). The leader cannot be changed, so choose wisely. * the team prefix (if needed) * the color you want the prefix to have

To create a faction, contact one of the admins with the details mentioned above. After creation you can use minecraft-bot to invite/kick members from your faction. For further info use the help command.

9.2 Faction Wars

  • 9.2.1 If disputes cannot be solved between the factions there is the option to declare a faction war.
  • 9.2.2 Factions can start official wars between each other but both parties must be willing.
  • 9.2.3 The rules of war will be set by teams (both teams have to agree). The server rules will serve as a base, but these can be changed in almost any way by the factions for war. The admins have to be informed of the final rules beforehand.
  • 9.2.4 Other teams may join the war if a team currently involved invites them. Admins should be informed of this.
  • 9.2.5 Uninvolved factions & players are not to be harmed in any way concerning the war. Uninvolved parties are also not allowed to participate in a war without officially joining.
  • 9.2.6 Winning conditions or rules to end the war should preferably be set beforehand (of course it can also just be a battle to the end until one party gives up).
